International School, Removes Our Identity ?

Hello friends,
in this special occasion I would like to thank Mr.T and all of you friends, for giving me the opportunity to explain a little about International Pioneering School or Rintisan sekolah Bertaraf Internasional(RSBI) in Indonesian which is one of the effect of globalization. After a while longer an International Pioneering School will be an International School or Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional(SBI) in Indonesian.

The emergence of international school (SBI) has provided both the pro and contra in our community, some argue that SBI would promote the quality of education received by students, while the other side argue that the SBI makes the young generation loose their nationality or their pure culture.
So, how is the development of education today? In this discussion I'd like to talk from different side.

International School (SBI) appeared like mushrooms in the rainy season. Not only the private schools, a number of elementary(SD), junior secondary school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) also makes international classes. It shows that most students have the low-Indonesian cognitive aspects when their schools become SBI.
An SBI class is adopted from the University of Cambridge International Examination. SBI is now emerging as a place that is not nationalist education. Some people think that now education has become a commodity bought and sold. Because the cost of SBI and the international class much more expensive than the regular ones each year. In this case there will be injustice in receiving education between rich and poor student.

On the other hand, in fact
we can see that Raden Mas Soewardi Surjadiningrat are Dutch school educational outcomes. But he sill had strong nationalism. He emerged and care about the little people, he founded Taman Siswa school and changed his name into Ki Hajar Dewantara. There are other educated people such Soekarno, Teungku Chik di Tiro, Sutan Syahrir, etc who care their own nationality destiny after graduated from foreign university.

So, the conclusion is no matter where we graduated from, nor how the curriculum will be, we have to accept and apply it in positive side. International programme will just add up our knowledge without reducing our nationalist.
We are not only have to be flexible facing globalism, but also have strong personality as Indonesian.

Here is the video related to International school
(This is one of the international school in Indonesia since there isn't any video which represent international school in general)

BEN

Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you my friend will see
You've got a friend in me (you've got a friend in me)

Ben, you're always running here and there
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
If you ever look behind and don't like what you find
There's something you should know
You've got a place to go (you've got a place to go)

I used to say
I and me
Now it's us
Now it's we

(I used to say
I and me
now it's us
now it's we)

Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as i do
I wish they would try to
I'm sure they'd think again
If they had a friend like Ben
(a friend) like Ben

(A friend) Like Ben
